English Bulldog and a Eagle catching Fish

Here are 2 New puzzles I made today after work..The Bulldog is made out of 3/4" Walnut. And the Eagle is made from 3/4" clear Poplar..The piece of poplar is hard as heck..Took me 5-#5 blades to cut it out.More new ones to come.

They look nice. Are you sure that it was poplar? All the poplar I ever cut was easy to cut.Anyway they turned out great. Bobby

Beautiful job, Michael!  These are just great.  You say you have lots more to do?  I can't wait to see them all.  You do such a wonderful job on these designs.  Thanks for showing us!

Sheila

PS - It kind of looks like brown maple.  Maybe it got mixed up in the pile?  Poplar should be really soft and easy. :)

I agree, looks like hard maple to me.  If you have a scrap left, which I'm sure you do, try staining it.  Maple is hard to get to take a stain.

Great job as always.
