See what I got today
« on: October 13, 2010, 10:16:04 am »
A friend took me to a cabinet maker this morning who promised to keep his cut offs for me. Great guy. I got mostly birch from him, solid and plywood. It just all fitted in the trunk of my friends car I took some pics before we unloaded at my place. Also added a pic of my current wood storage in cupboard under the stairs.

Judy there's plenty of dust in my shop, but these pics weren't taken in my shop. LOL. I read on this forum never to trust a woodworker who has no dust in the shop, so I guess we are save with you :P

Hey David - GREAT FIND.  Can't wait to see what it all turns into.
Judy, a shop without dust is just a storage unit.

Good Show Mate!  My favorite four-letter word...FREE!

I used the leaf blower in my shop the other day and found some wood I didn't even know I had!

Scrollers without dust in their shops are just tool collectors!

And REMEMBER....

I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788

Nice find David.  I'm also glad to see that I am not the only one with a unorganized lumber collection...I have wood stuffed in boxes, on shelves, in drawers...where there is a spot...I stick a piece of wood.

Thanks for the pictures!

Those look to be some nice big pieces.  You made out like a bandit!

I have plenty of dust in my shop too.  If anyone would like to buy some of it to increase their credibilty, I'm sure we could work something out.   ;)
