2 minutes, maybe I should have you cut mine would love to see a video of you making one, like to see what I'm doing wrong, is it blade, speed, threading for new letters, maybe it's stopping constantly to drink my coffee

Go get a state outline, a clip-art of a flower or critter, and a date or name or whatever and mash them together in Inkscape.  If an idiot like me can do it....

Customer comments were along the lines of "They will know where it came from..."
