Pricing
« on: August 29, 2010, 10:23:51 pm »
I am making Steve's alphabet train what do members think a fair price for the letters and numbers would be, I envisage mothers will buy them for their kids with their name so there may not be a lot of letters unless it is a long name, I thought about $10 to $15 for the train and carriage plus the letters, What do you all think ?

Hi Jimbo,

I was on a fair this weekend and there were some alphabet trains to.
one train was  +/- 3" high and cost $ 1,30 per carriage/letter.
one smaller +/- 1.5" high costs $ 0,70 per carriage/letter.
they both had wheels and axxes.

so looking at steve's train, I think that about $10 (depending on the length of the name) is a good price.

Jimbo, Like Marcellarius the ones I have seen at flea markets where sold per carriage/letter $1.50. I think breaking it down to carriage/letter pricing would be better. Someone might just want their initials.  8)
