Holding small pieces
« on: November 18, 2019, 03:13:10 pm »
I remember the other day you had a post on your blog about holding small pieces to cut.  I have seen the jig people use but I believe there was a couple other ideas. Thanks.

Steve has a jig in the catalogue.  Scan for 3djig

I use 2 small 6 inch clamps and 2 blocks of wood.  3/4 by 1 by 3 1/2  I glued sand paper to 2 sides.

It is long enough that I can sometimes do 2 at a time.  I just finished doing 40 feet and 40 hands for my elves so it saved some time.

I mentioned my elf project.  Will post later today but the feet shown are from a project 2 years ago.

This years feet are below.  Did two at a time.  Because of the size it is not necessary to tape when one side done as the clamps hold the pieces in place.
