I left the eyes off because I don't like google eyes.  I debated cutting eyes or painting eyes but then just left them off.

So here's my interpretation...

I'm pretty sure it's all poplar.  I don't think I have anything else except a little red oak.

I took it off the wall and sat it down somewhere and the head came off the backing.  I'm screwing it now.

sp - those are really cool!  I might have to try one of those!
