They look great, what blade do you use. I love puzzles and have made a couple but am still not to happy about the blade sizes I tried.

Nice work on the puzzles.  I have always found that cutting any type of puzzle is great practice and makes me a better all around scroller.

Also the right tool (saw and blades for us scrollers) makes any job easier.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice job!  I've never seen the horse pattern with the heart before.  I like how the heart is red.

Those are really nice.  I do the free standing puzzles.  I would love to trade patterns sometime.

Questions???? Okay - my wood of choice is 3/4" pine, only becasue it's what I'm used to and inexpensive. I've tried harder woods and thinner woods, but I seem to loose control of my work when I switch woods (can't stay on the line as well) so I stick with the pine. I used a 3 reverse cut blade, pretty sure it was Flying Dutchman. These Puzzles do stand up on their own, which is part of their charm. I coated it with clear acrylic spray, personally I like wood untreated. Here's some more I did previously, the bears are an original design inspired by an actual bear sighting ;o)
Thanks for the kind words ;o) Pattern Exchange sounds like a great idea to me.

Hey DobbiePaws, Try using a larger blade for 3/4" hardwoods. I would go with a #5R or a 7R for woods like oak or maple or cherry. Also slow down you blade speed and you should be able to control you blade better.
