Hello everyone.  My name is Bill. I live in Charlotte nc and I am just getting started in scrolling. i recently purchased the dewalt 788.
Does anyone know a source of wood in charlotte? looking forward to progressing and improving at this hobby

Welcome that is a good saw.  As for wood try the local hobby or craft store. They will have some fairly inexpensive baltic birch plywood in various thicknesses. You will find that wood is somewhat costly.  You can make some neat things with the plywood and gain experience.
