Kitten and puppy boxes.
« on: January 04, 2018, 05:19:31 pm »
These boxes are made of pine and measure 8"x6"x3" outside dimensions. The grey in the kitten is corian. This was my first use of corian. Both images are inlaid into the hinged lid.

Wow Jim they are lovely!  and the Corian works well too, I use Corian in some of my Intarsias and although its tough to saw/shape it does polish up lovely.......I use Solvol Autosol car chrome polish and it gets a mirror finish.
Cheers and looking forward to your next projects

Wow, those are amazing! I have not been all that good at inlays. Your work is very well done. I need to learn the technique someday.

Today I am working on making these same two inlays  but in cedar this time.
Instead of oak, I am using ash.
