Scrolls Saw Village
« on: November 26, 2016, 05:31:01 pm »
Today when I try to log in to Scroll Saw Village, my anti virus tells me not to.

Anyone else experience this?

Hi Jerry, I am almost certain it is a false positive. Here are the results from VirusTotal. It passes every test. This happens to my site sometimes also. False positives are a problem. The biggest issue is that you have to tell people to trust their virus software or they may as well just un-install it. https://www.virustotal.com/en/ does help give you something to go by.

Don't feel alone - there must have been something a little amiss yesterday - at least for a while - when I logged in I got a warning from McAfee that the site held a risk and I should think twice about going further (which I ignored) - but I did run a site report - it was rated as "Medium Risk" at the time - no idea why - today - whatever the issue was seems to have disappeared - after running a site report again just now it is rated as "Minimal Risk".

Jay,

Our oldest son is a computer programmer for several clients.  He is in his very early 50s and have done that since college.  He uses McAfee, as do we.  When I explained that we were blocked, here is part of an e-mail he sent.  Hope the print is big enough to read.
