Single flower light bulb vase

This is Steve?s pattern (Thank You Again Steve) of a light bulb vase. I used maple and blood wood for this cutout. This was actually cut from a cutting board that went bad. The cutting board chipped out when planned, and then warped, as it sat while I was trying to find something else to do with it. Well I found something to do with it, and it turned out so nice. I still haven?t put a single flower in it because I always buy the wife a dozen or more every month. Might have to down size so she can use it. This was actually a little hard to cut as both woods are very hard woods. However it was fun and came out nice.

Besides flowers these also make for nice terrariums. Put some potting soil in it and a few small plants and they look great.

Judy, Steve explains it in a video he has on his web page. It is very easy to do.......wait, I take that back I broke one bulb trying the first time but managed to make the second light bulb work. The key is to make sure you wear safety glasses when you take out the middle. It really isn?t that hard to take the middle out though. Just some needle nose pliers and some gloves and glasses.....have fun.
