Yep, I'm a newbie to scroll sawing. I've had a scroll saw for a few months and have enjoyed it tremendously when I can get on it. My workshop is a small shed that is only 9 by 15 feet. Tight quarters to operate in but it works for me.
I have obtained numerous magazines of Creative Woodworks Crafts from my Brother-In-Law a few weeks ago and wow but wow is there a lot of great patterns in each issue. I had a cheap scroll saw but I also obtained a better scroll saw through a purchase agreement with my Brother-In-Law. He can no longer use his due to deteriorating health.
I was searching for a club in my area but it seems scroll sawing must be a dying hobby. I even searched for a subscription to a scroll sawing magazine but none were to be found. If anyone knows of any I would appreciate hearing from you.
Any others in my area I would love to meet and possibly share ideas and patterns.
Until then, Happy Scrolling
Bob
