Ex21 issue

Hello,
I am having vibration in my upper arm. I remembered that there is a solution so I went and found it so I took off the cover and noticed the arm my finger is on, is loose behind the big nut. It moves in and out( from nut to motor )Is this supposed to be loose with that bearing? I don't  want to start cranking and ruin the bearing. Thanks for your help http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh66/kardar2/wood%20working/20150927_152610.jpg

Beware!!  On a Delta and Dewalt, this is a LEFT hand thread!!!!!!!!!!!

Your photo appears to be identical.  If you try to tighten it, in the back you see a counterweight (for anti-vibration.)  Hold that with a vice grip and turn the nut counter clock wise to tighten it.

Did Not work. I could not get that nut to move. Maybe it suppose to move side to side. I will call Seyco and ask a few questions. And see what parts I need. At the other end of that arm the the bolt and nut is loose spins. So I am going to go find me  wrench to bend to get it on that nut.

About 3 weeks ago I bought a new Delta (made in Taiwan, as are a LOT of brands now.)  Was reading on some of the sites that Taiwan skimps on lubrication.  I watched this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7EWpq3aQeU

And tore apart a brand new saw (It had minimal grease.)  The nut you are referring to needs to come off.  On my Delta, it was so darn tight, it caused me concern getting it off, but it did.  Note that at the factory they hit the edge of the threads with a center punch to flare it slightly as insurance that it doesn't work loose.  The LONG BORING video stresses the fact that if you don't remember that the motor shaft has a left hand thread, it is easy to snap off the end of the shaft.

Best of luck to you Sir.  Hopes all goes well.
