Holly and Sapelle Bowl
« on: August 19, 2015, 09:37:50 pm »
This bowl is 7 1/2 inches long x 6 inches wide x 3 inches tall.  It was cut from 3/4 sapelle I cut 1/4 inch wide strips of 3/4 holly for this bowl as well.  The bowl was cut using a 26.9 deg. left side down table tilt.  Cut with a #9 ultra reverse.  Finished with shellac.

Danny due to the thickness of the walls of the bowl I could use the #9UR and not have any issues with grain or thickness.  I could have cut it with a #3UR however a #9UR is easier and a bit more aggressive.
