Hi,
Here's my latest project, its a bit different from my wildlife and birds but its called a Hayabusa and is Japanese for Peregrine Falcon so fits in with my others lol.
Its made from Beech with Walnut and Oak Wheels/brake callipers/frame...... the Beech was yet another charity shop find in this case a grotty telephone table and the Walnut was from an old table.
As you can see i have one for a very glossy finish and I used Wilkinsons own brand of clear spray varnish at ?3.50 for a 400ml can and is lovely stuff and half the price of Plasticote etc so worth investing in, the photo isn't great but will try a take a better one tomorrow without too much reflections.
You might notice my poor attempt at pyrography for the name badges  not the neatest but once done hard to remove..... will practice more or get Ruth to do it for me as her hands are steadier. The design is one from an old birthday card i got and i made my own pattern from that and basically simplified it to get a decent amount of detail but not overdone..... it measures 16" x 10" x 1"
Hope ya like it
Brian
