If you know anyone that works in a factory tool and die shop, they
can make you a blade holder in a matter of minutes (Less than 1/2 an hour).
You just have to let them know that the metal has to be of about the same
hardness level as the old holder (Give them the old on for their measurements
and so they can test the hardness needed),
If you can't find someone in a factory to take it to the tool and die shop,
you can take the old part to a machining shop and request a price quote to
have a few made.
Another method for a home-made holder is to take a short piece of metal cut from
a carriage bolt. A hole has to be drilled through the exact center of this metal cylinder
horizontally. Then a hole has to be drilled through it vertically and that hole is tapped
from each end the size of an allen head bolt.
The ends of the allen head bolts are filed or sanded smooth and then inserted one on
each end of the cylinder. You loosed one bolt to insert your blade and then tighten the
bolt with an allen wrench to pinch the blade tight.
You have to use an allen wrench every time you want to remove and insert a blade but,
it works!
