I hope I'm posting in the right section and if not I apologize and admins plz move. I was flipping thru some scroll saw magazines I got in the mail and I think it was in THE SCROLLER I seen in the back page some patterns they called wooden images. They was layered patterns of deer scenery and all kind of outdoor scenery that was painted different colors and was absolutely beautiful. I'm getting very interested in the layered scenes after doing the navity from Steve good. I was curious to know if anyone had any info on where to get some free patterns of layered scenery for me to try to see how I do on them before I start buying patterns. I search the internet but couldn't find any but that don't mean anything. Thanks for any info and God Bless.

Welcome to the forum JWBright.  Glad to have you join up.

I know Steve has some of those in his catalog.  Check it out here:

Hello,
For free patterns to try, I would go to the library and check out the scroll saw area.
The best book I have seen in the layered category that you are looking for is
called, "Making Dimensional Wood Plaques" by Patrick Spielman and Robert Hyde.
Good luck and God Bless! Spirithorse
