Thanks for the tutorial, Rog,
Wow! That's even more labor intensive than I had imagined!
I found it a little amusing that, as I looked at each section, it had
5 views on section 1, 3 views on sections 2, 3, and 4, and 2 views on
section 5.
If I was ever going to try this, I think I would cut the center sections out
of 2 separate pieces of stock rather than trying to make a clean, straight cut
down the center of the thicker stock. I don't have much success with cuts like that
on my band saw and I am even worse with my table saw, miter saw, or a circular saw!
I truly appreciate all your time and efforts on the tutorial.

Spirithorse did bring up a good point about 2 separate pieces for the center
Do you see a problem with doing that way? or is it just easier for you
to do it the way you do

I have NO problem with you cutting two separate pieces for the frame. Do what is best and easiest for you. 
In fact, as you know, I encourage people to try new things and ideas when it comes to wood working and scrolling especially. 
I just wanted to make sure that everything lined up evenly and matched. It was more "material frugal" for me to use the 3/4" thick plywood and cut three pieces instead of cutting two out of 3/4" and two out of 1/4" ply and line up all four pieces evenly at the edges during the glue up or gluing two sets individually. (Guess you don't need to have all four pieces glued as long as you get the hinge notches to match.)
I have no problem setting the fence on the table saw to make consistent cuts all around the rectangle. I do it all the time making small boxes and when I re-saw  thicker boards.

Rog - thanks for the detailed tutorial. Great idea using the scrap to locate the holes in both the frame and the backing to align the magnets, and also using the screw heads to face the magnets.
