?hhh Colered "Clay" in Wood, How?
« on: October 02, 2014, 05:46:36 am »
I have made a scrolling in a piece of hardwood and want to put some colered "Clay" in the holes and bake it to become hard. I find it a nice idea to make trays and coasters with birds and other funny pics in it. I dont know how and need some help :-)

Thanks for that I was wondering what clay to use. I do inlay but with a mixable material and sometimes ivory, estate ivory.

Don't limit yourself to clay.  I use colored sand for my inlays.

Yo newfi

Here is a link to a tutorial I did on sand inlays a few years ago on another forum.

Since then I have started using "Easy Cast" a clear casting epoxy I get at Michaels.

Give it a try.
