Puzzles.

Hi, did some puzzles for my grandkids. I cut it from 8 mm and 12 mm plywood. Painted them with acryllic paint and varnish. My grandkids love them when i gave them the puzzles today.

I cut that elephant in 3/4" rock maple but had a hard time keeping the blade vertical. When going around the sharper turns, the bottom of the cut tended to lag so the cut would not be square to the surface. Then you can only put the part into the puzzle from one end (top or bottom). Any suggestions on keeping the cut perpendicular to the surface so it's easier to assemble?

What blade did you use for this cut?

Hi, used a nr 5 scroll revers FD blade, but had the same problem to get the cut square. I will try it again with the new ultra reverse blade that i use now.

i used a #9. The 3/4 maple is very hard and cuts very slowly. I see you used 8 and 12 mm ply which should be a little easier. Slow and tight should do it but I still had trouble.
