Cut this plaque for a customer. Cut from 1/4 in. ply. Sealed with tung oil and top coated with shellac.
This is a vase from Steve Goods new book. The facings are oak and the center is pine. The vase was sealed with tung oil and top coated with shellac.

Some beautiful work. The fishing one looks like it could have been done on a CNC machine, I mean that as a compliment. Beautiful stuff!

Good work on both projects.
Do you want to cut another of the fishing ones? I had a customer once who's favorite saying was..."WORK IS FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW HOW TO FISH" ....
I think that would look good on your plaque if you can fit all the words in.
