Pine and Bloodwood Dry Vase
« on: May 31, 2014, 04:23:50 pm »
I cut this vase from a pine glued up board and a piece of 1/2 in blood wood. Sealed with Tung oil and top coated with shellac. This dry vase is 6 inches tall and 5 inches wide.

Beautiful job!
That is the most beautiful pine I have ever seen!
Is that design from one of Carole Rothman's books?
Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

The pattern is mine... it is based loosely on the work that Carole published.  That is the beauty of the method.  You can make many different things just need to think of what you want to make.

Very nice DW.  I like the pine and blood wood combo.  Blood wood really sets it off.
