It might be good to post a link to that video. I saw one with a guy that had a tilting platform that gave you the angles on each side of the dovetail Pin, then use the Pin and a knife to mark the cuts for the Tail. Is that what you're looking for?

I've never tried dove tail joints with a scroll saw, it seems like a lot of trouble to me but, I have made finger joints on a scroll saw before. They add a lot of strength to the corners  of small boxes and do look similar to dove tails. And they do add interest to the looks of the box too.
If you do find a video or description of how it is done, I would be very interested in seeing it.










Dove tail joints on larger pieces done with hand tools or router is a whole different thing. I have done those and I still think that they are a lot more trouble to me than they are worth.

With the scroll saw able to tilt in either direction, it's not hard to cut the pins - mark where they go, tilt the saw one way and cut one side of each pin, then tilt the other way to cut the other side. Use the cut Pins to mark the 2nd board for Tails.

Dovetails are neat to look at, but with modern glue, the box joint is as strong as the dovetail and easier to cut (it's all square).
