Bad day
« on: July 09, 2010, 02:21:20 pm »
Well after a couple of good days, I guess I decided to have a bad one starting last night.  When I cut the backer for the Trunks picture, I don't know what I did wrong, but the table saw kicked back the big board on the left and I almost lost my thumb and ended up with a bruised belly.  So last night I painted the backer black and glued Trunks to it after it dried.  Piled  up heavy books on it so it would stay together.  Found out this morning, that I glued Trunks on backwards, so now the back of the picture is front.   AAAUUGGHH.  And the rest of today, well I lost my hoe so I can get the weeds down in the chicken coop, the weed eater will not start and the black craft paint I am using decided to lump up.  The bottle is now in the trash.  And its only 1 pm?  What else can go wrong?

I can relate.  My last name is Murphy, so Murphy's law goes double for me.  Those table saws can get you if you aren't really carefull!  That's why my motto is "Measure twice, cut once, count fingers."

Somedays it is really best to just stay inside and cocoon for awhile.  It will get better!

It should get better.  Seven deep breaths, three happy thoughts, go smile at yourself in the mirror while saying....It don't matter.... it's just stuff.

You have to keep the blade shape on the table saw and always ensure the riveing knife is on, and you may be able to get the trunks picture unglue if you heat the whole thing up with a heat gun or oven that shouild soften he glue, hope your day improves

Cherie when things start to go wrong, quit and go in the house and start over the next day. It seems to work for me.
