Somehow Russ, I don't really believe much that any dept of the govt says anymore. they seem to back slide on all most everything they say--if this offends anyone, oh well. JMHO--Richard

the answer from Microsoft:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/library/security/2963983

see the Suggested Actions & Apply Workarounds

Workarounds refer to a setting or  configuration change that does not correct the underlying issue   but would help block known attack vectors before a security update is available.

yeah, right, just play sitting ducks.... ;)

my workaround: use Google Chrome

PLEASE don't get me going. Our public officials don't give two hoots about the American citizens or the millions of Americans that have given up their life for the freedoms they feel they can take away. Homeland security is as big of a joke as the war on drugs. It?s just another way to suck money out of our pockets to put in theirs. Sorry this sort of thing always strikes a nerve.

We use I.E.   Use McAfee for virus protection.  Our oldest son has his own computer programming company for 30 years.  Called him when I read about this (He deals with viruses regularly).  Said that these things are always blown way out of proportion, and that we shouldn't worry.  IF someone tried to hack into ours, McAfee would catch it.
