My local Home Depot had the same sale Steve noted the other day. 1/2 oak and poplar. Both are sizes I use. A very happy scroller am I. A good savings over how I normally buy it! Thanks for the tip Steve!

I stopped by HD on my way home from work tonight and they had the sale there too.  I don't' use wood that thick all that often so I just picked up a few boards.  I am sure they will come in handy some time or another.

So far, two of our stores out here have them. They didn't when Steve noted it but the following week, they brought the boxes out. Great wood for word art, crosses and boxes... I just wish I could afford to empty out the box!

I used to work at Home Depot.  It should be on the trim isle.  It is usually in a roll around bin.  Lowes also has a selection on the trim isle.

hey cyberghost go to steves opening page there is a search fill in space between Steves pic and pay pal on left of page. In search area type in home depot, then it shows several choices, you will see his pic he took at home depot.

I've been picking up pallets. Lowes gave me one the other day and after I planned it down it was Ash. I got 6 pieces 18" long 1/2"X5. My wife threw the 2" runners away. I was upset because they looked as if they were Ash too. I have several pieces of Oak with some impressive grain a 1/2" think and differant widths all from pallets. Just idea to save a few bucks. It's hard on planner blades because of the grit.
