A great day in the shed
« on: March 22, 2014, 07:20:19 pm »
Today was a good day. I was in the shed at 9:00am with a nice wood fire going in the stove. I laid out an intarsia piece of a lighthouse. I have wanted to do one for some time now. Used popular and western red cedar. Got all the pieces cut. Then sprayed some fretwork I had finished. Then not wanting to create dust I laid out another intarsia of a beagle pup and got these pieces cut from western red cedar.
Yes today was a great day in da shed. Come on spring.  ;)

I'm glad one of us did.  I have not been in the shed to cut for about 3 weeks now, had a ton more other stuff to do.  Hopefully will get in there soon.

It's always a great day when you can get out and make saw dust.

It is so refreshing to smell the nice smell of sawdust in the air after a project. Spring and summer bring that out better than in the very cold weather like have had.

Glad to hear you got to make some dust Clyde.  Here in Tennessee, I was able to work just about everyday with my little propane heater going.  I don't do much in the summer because it is just to hot in the shop so I try to get it all done during the winter months.  looking forward to seeing the pictures of your work.
