Hi Peter,
Sweden brings back some memories. Before coming to the US, I was two years in Sweden, one year in Stallerholmen and 1 year in Stora Tuna. I was born in Holland. Great country, Sweden. Made some great friends.

The funny thing is that its nearly impossible to find thin wood for scrollsawing here in
Sweden.

Welcome from Lubbock Texas.  On my two trips to Europe ,backint eht 80's I liked Sweden the best.  I make my own thin wood using a band saw to re-saw one inch boards and a planer to smooth out the rough wood I start with.  I suggest you do a search to find out the many uses of a scroll saw.  I think many only do fretwork with their saw and there are many other uses for it.  Inlay, Intarsia, compound cutting, toy making, bowl making, segmentation, and sign making (lettering)...... to mention the ones I do myself.
