So I'm thinking of celebrating the day with a nice glass of scotch which as everyone knows is aged in WOOD ::)
Put it into a wooden cup and you're good to go. :)

I am so glad that arrived intact!
It is cut from a cedar 'grilling plank' and was so damn fragile I was scared to death it would crack and be ruined. Several other attempts to cut those 'grilling planks' have resulted in designer firewood!!!
There were more "Hail Mary" cuts on that than anything I think I have ever done.

I received a wonderful cross from "Moonie" and will post the picture later today!

RE: "Sawyer's Day"....Back in 1975 on this day I had the cartilage removed from my right knee but failed to curtail my many 'week-end sporting activities' (softball, hockey, officiating many sports, etc.) and eventually had to have the knee replaced. So I have a long history of remembering March 19th!

~~~GB~~~
I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788
We may have some exchanges still coming in, so this thread will stay open, but I wanted to thank everyone for participating in our first Sawyers' Day on March 19, 2014. I hope we can do this again next year. I enjoyed the chance to come up with a woodworking-related design and sharing ideas with Sawyers around the globe.
FYI - we had participants from Victoria Australia, The Netherlands, Lincolnshire UK, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Ohio in the USA.
Marcel - I hope you had a very Dusty Sawyers' Day.
I received your Secret Sawyer ornament today. The image is perfect and the precision of you lettering is remarkable - what blade did you use to get it that tight? That's the part I worry about the most - seems like the eye picks up every tiny detail when it's text.
Thank you for thinking of me.
Hi Ray, your welcome.
glad you like it.
in most cases on ornaments like this I use the FD-UR-#1
an occasionally a #2/0, but not sure if I did on this one.
I use Corel to make the pattern, 0.576 mm red or blue line and light gray what I need to cut out.
this red or blue lines make it easier to cut nice lines.
Great job.  Very clean and wonderful design.  What 2/0 blades do you use?  If they are FD-UR's, where can I get some?  Thanks.
I didn't know about Sawyer's Day, which shows I should visit the forum more often. All the items are great, and I particularly like the one with the tools.
