My new blade rack

I needed a larger blade rack. Three 1-1/8" mahogany boards laminated together. Holes drilled with a 13/16" forstner bit. Finished with boiled linseed oil and a topcoat of Deft semi Gloss spray lacquer.

Great job dg. They used to sell blades in holders here, now you can only buy them in plastic bags.

  If you have a mail order chemistry supply place, or something similar that sells test tubes and related equipment you can get about any size you want from them with corks to fit. Another idea would be what I originally did was to get PVC tubing with end caps that will fit. Glue one end on and mark the other end cap with the blade you you put in it.

I use the tubes they make for packaging turned pens.  They're a good size and, best of all, they're square so they don't roll off the bench.  I guess that wouldn't be a problem if I was as organized as dgman!
