I made this for my mom obviously, woods are Maple and Walnut. For some reason I couldn't get the hands to work and the motor was though. Oh well, we have two clocks in the kitchen anyway, so this is more decoration!

If you can hear the motor is working then you must not have the hands seated properly. Make sure they go all the way down onto the shaft and lock into place so they do not spin freely. Nice job.

She will love it whether it is working or not because you made it. Merry Christmas.

I have seen your video on inlay work. This really shows your skill. It looks fantastic. I hope you can get the motor working right. All the same, it is nice. You can always set it for dinner time and it will be right at least twice a day.

Nice job Dustin. The woodwork is well worth replacing the motor if it's bad.
We made some of these some years back and found that we needed to paint the hands white or another contrasting color so they show up against the walnut.

You really do a nice job with your inlays, Dustin. I've done a few but they give me fits. I still remember that very delicate one you did a while back. I hope you can get the actual telling time issues resolved.
