Hi thanks Steve for creating this forum and sorting out my hassles with registering :D

I have a varied background in metal and woodwork which my working life covered. Much was left behind while I drove Coaches for many years till the call of wood had me at a wood show.

All down hill from there.

Scroll saw wasn't something I thought I'd get into but the wife decided she would so a Scheppac scroll saw was purchased, LOML is also into fibres and working with wood doesn't go to well on the hands and fine fibres like silk. So the machine sat forlorn on the shelf. I have decided it gets some use o it goes.

My first use is trimming pen blanks prior getting bandsaw ::).

I have progressed I made Steve's Drop Clown x 3 for the grandkids with a variation to the clown now in progress.

Expect lots of questions it a total new area .

Hi Ray... I have a fear of clowns... but welcome anyway  ;)

Well it's not really a fear... it's just that when I see one I'm torn between running away or punching it out.   :o

Hey Janet.  Good thing you didn't know me before.  I earned a living for about 20 years creating clowns.  Well I called them jesters.  Made over 12,000. Sold mostly at Renaissance.
There are a lot of people who feel the same way you do about clowns.

Thanks to all, I am in Western Sydney a place called Hinchinbrook NSW, I should also mention I am originally from the north of England a Geordie so long ago o far away.

Janet your not alone there I almost have downed a clown who was so much in my face in a street in a shopping mall, she was rude arrogant and i was in a hurry and working.

Steves Clown how every you can make which every way you want. I changed the design after the grandson said and I quote "Poppy its a girl clown its got a dress on!! Can I have a boy clown with pants on" he's 3 so I did if i can work out how to load pics to this site I'll put a plan up I created. I did email Steve with it also.
