Baptism portrait

This is a grand nephew of a friend. Weather kept her from travelling to his baptism last weekend so she commissioned a portrait.
The portrait is 1/4" BB Ply; frame is 1" cherry with black walnut splines in the corners. Portrait and frame were finished with Bulls Eye shellac then paste wax rubbed in with 0000 steel wool. They look good and feel like satin.

Beautiful job Ray, thank you for sharing it with us. A lovable bundle of mischief judging by that smile in the photograph.
Wishing you and the family a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Thanks for the nice comments.
Looking at it now, I kind of wish I'd added a dove or other symbol of Baptism. Maybe for Sammy's First Communion.
