My first try at stack cutting

Just finished my first 3 stack cuts. Quite a few bobbles and miss cuts but I am fairly happy with them. I am starting on my second stack, I have to make 10 of these for Christmas presents.
     I still have to put the clear coat on them. I made the backing board out of cedar and the humming bird out of 1/8 " Baltic Birch.

Looks really great.  I remember my first stack cut, I said to my husband that if I'd have known it was that easy before I would not have left it so long.

That is a Great looking pattern.  You did a Outstanding job of cutting it.  Looks like a Beautiful Gift.  Wonder where I might obtain that pattern?  We are Hummer Lovers....  Danny  :+}

Looks good reminds me when I first tried stack cutting, I did at first taped my stack, but could not get the stacks tight, so I would apply the pattern to the top then make sure all stacks were even and with 4 1/4 inch wood my 5/8's nail, brad nail gun just barely holds them, plus if put in all waste areas it pulls the stack tight with no gaps, once the top is brad nailed in I pop a couple on the back for good measure. Has worked great for me so far.
