Old loco
« on: November 14, 2013, 04:17:43 pm »
(3rd or 4th try at posting this, maybe it wasn't meant to be. :)

Been cutting this on and off for a couple of weeks and finally finished today. Cheap 6mm plywood, 13.75" long by about half that in height. I'm not very happy with it, but I learned quite a lot while I was cutting it.

I can't imagine why you're not happy with it, I would be. Thanks for showing it!

Hi Martin, typical scroller, too self critical. That's a lovely job you've done on that loco, absolutely superb. I doubt if I would have enough patience for that, probably throw it down to the bottom of the garden halfway through, but that's just my age. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Newfie, the pattern is from an old (1991) Patrick Spielman book that I picked up in a charity shop.

Rob Roy, the wife always tells me I'm my own worst critic. If we had a garden, it would have been at the bottom of it a couple of weeks ago.  ;D Patience wasn't a problem as I only spent about 30 minutes at a time on it and left it alone for days at a time. I've no patience either. :)

Cheers, all. :)

Martin.
