2 Drawer chest
« on: November 07, 2013, 12:15:51 pm »
Cut from scrap pine and poplar.  The box is 2 1/2 in. wide x 3 1/4 in. tall x 5 1/2 in, long.  The drawers have been flocked with Kelly Green Flocking.  The box has been finished with semi gloss lacquer.

Wow!  Love the grain.  All stands out Beautifully.  First look I would of thought this was a full scale project, but Wow! again.  So, so small.  Is there a story behind this project?  Danny  :+}

I have been making a lot of the wooden piggy banks for sale and have 5 middle sections per piggy bank and I have made 30 banks in the last year so I have been looking to use these sections for something... The 2 drawer chest is an attempt at using this wood.  I think it came out pretty good.

Woodcrafters sells a flocking kit that includes the shredded felt and the proper color paint / adhesive and the flocking blower / applicator.  Paint the area you want to flock blow the flocking on to the wet paint/adhesive let dry gently blow or vacuum out the excess flocking.
