Edgewater Clock
« on: November 01, 2013, 01:35:02 pm »
This is "The Edgewater" clock, one of Dirk Boelman's designs at the Art Factory.  It stands 38" tall and is constructed of walnut, oak, and poplar.  I can't tell you how long it took to build because I was involved in several home moves last year and didn't have a workshop for a while.  It was a great challenge for someone who has been scrolling for less than two years (eight months of which I was without a place to scroll).

Looks terrific! Don't worry about how long it took to make, it's what it looks like when done that counts.

It is very nice work. More of a challenge than I am prepared to do at this point. I have seen this clock made though. A guy I know in Mesa, AZ made one just like this. He worked on it for about a month maybe two. Of course he has a lot of experience in working and did put tons of time into it. Your clock looks just like his. Good work and thanks for sharing.

That is just beautiful!  Also an ambitious project at your experience level.  If you can do this with less than 2 years under your belt, I can't wait to see what you're posting in 2020!

Beautiful work. Be careful! Making the big clocks can be habit forming, and you might run out of room or have to move. :D
