Well, not a great job, but I liked it as an ornament, I hope you too.
Made of pine wood 3/4 inch.

Frank I think you have to be noted as the guy that has a imagination for wood projects.  Always coming up with Great things.  

I like the looks of the Salamander's -Original- Well cut.  What made you use 3/4 wood?
Will Look Good painted Different Colors.  Maybe even Spotted.     Danny  :+}

I used 3/4 pine for a piece left over and I used it not to waste it.
Thanks for the suggestion of colors.

Keefie: No, the images I found on Google.

EIEIO: No, I think they serve for Christmas, probably use to scare off the flies.LOL ;D
