I've seen other posts saying Basswood is very dusty - I'd think even worse when cutting with spirals. Did you see that when cutting this portrait?

I have to admit that the cutting of 'basswood' with spirals is a special treat! (not!)
There is NO sawdust! There is saw POWDER!

I keep the 'blower' down tight pointing away from me, I have a small fan on the right side of my saw blowing full speed, a 20" box fan on the left with a filter on it and an industrial 24" fan blowing across the whole scene moving as much air toward the open garage door as possible.
I do not attempt these in the winter!!!
BUT I love how these things come out when I am finished!
