Portrait of Dylan and I
« on: September 15, 2013, 08:03:49 pm »
I finally got it done. I made it out of walnut and cherry with a black cardstock backer. The letters are inlay into the walnut. I made the pattern using Coyote Stencil Shop 3. My brother is the best thing in my life. We spend all of our time together whether it is in the workshop, driving around, or him sitting in the yard watching me cut grass. I wanted to make something for us and thought about this idea. I think it turned out alright. Thanks for looking.

Very nicely done Dustin, and a fine tribute to a friend and brother.  Good luck to both of you.

That's awesome Dustin! We seldom see brothers so close. I have 2 brothers that I haven't seen in over 30 years. It's very nice knowing you two cherish each other! Thanks so much!

Dustin that is a remarkable piece of work.  You have a one in a million relationship with your brother, and it shows in this portrait.

You did a great job on the pattern and cutting. The frame turned out really nice, like the way you did the letting with the names. Cherish the time with your brother, I lost my sister at the age of 32. Still miss and think about her a lot after 30years.
