Sullyscroller's Heart/Rose pattern
« on: September 12, 2013, 09:17:48 am »
I have finished Sully's Heart Rose and now would like some advice. Do you prefer it with the black or the red backer?

Keefie,  I really do like both of them but I think the red may be a little better for a rose.  When I do something like that, if it is for a wedding, I try to get the colors that are being used in the wedding and if it loos good I use those.  Just my 2 pennies worth.

Great work! I think the red looks good. Most people use black to back their portraits, so red is a change and it fits the project as well.

Red is a good background color for that.  You did a great job.  Thanks for sharing it with us.

both ways are nice Keith, but i do like it with the black backer more.to me it lets the fine cuts pop a little more.

I like the red, but I agree with Newfie about the black making it 'pop'. I didn't know the term 'pop' with regards to images, but I Googled it and it describes it well. The pattern reminds me of a tattoo I nearly got. :)
