The Cat.

Cut out of plain 1/8" walnut, backed with gray paper; frame is cherry and is BLO/MS treated; the stand is also plain untreated walnut.

The recipient likes natural wood, and I thought the treated cherry would be just a touch better.

I welcome comments - constructive or otherwise.

Thanks for taking a look and have a decent day.

Looks great! The only thing I will say is that I would rather have a black backer or maybe change it up with a matching backer color with the frame. It is just kind of hard to see the cat. Anyway nice job!

The cat that owns the person receiving this scroll is gray, therefore the gray background.  I generally go with higher contrasts, but the cat insisted.

Very nice indeed, love the frame too. My only point would be I would prefer a darker background, but as you were asker for the grey backer you had to use one.

Your cat is beautiful. There is something  strange to your frame. I think to the left side. It can be the veins. It gives me the impression ,it isn't right. But I love the whole.

Nice cutting on the cat. The frame looks great , nice tight 45 corners, that's one thing I have to work on. My frame cutting has a lot to be desired.

great cutting, first thoughts where ' the backer is not black..."
but a second look changes my mind, the lighter gray with the walnut makes a great color scheme.
really nice job!

Great job! I'm sure the cat will love it.
I hope he (or she) can get the domestic human to hang it on the wall for him (or her).

I am sure that the cat will love, remembering that cats are very fussy. Maybe a darker gray would work better.  Just a thought.
