Didnt turn out as good as I had hoped but I finished it and the lid works in it. Was hard as can be to sand smooth all over. I plan on painting this black for a friend of mine.

Can't see any flaws - and we are usually our own worst critic -- looks nice.

here is the Finished piece. I Dyed it black except for the inner lid section and the bottom of the box I stained those in an oak stain. I then put a few coats of high Gloss finish on it.

That looks really nice, I can't see any reason not to be happy with it.

The Box is in the Shape of a Thor's hammer Symbol. But I do have plans for doing a Thors hammer box that will house a metal Thor's Hammer

I agree as well but I didn't have a Black Stain to keep the wood grain from showing and Ebonizer didnt work at all on Poplar ( It works on the plywood though ). I stained the plywood because I like the wood look but the guy who Im giving the box to wanted the box to be black.
