Question....Why did you cut the outer material away and not do the inner cuts first?

I'm with GB. I would definitely find it easier to maneuver the work piece being a big rectangle or something, oh well just my thought. Progress looks great though! Nice work

Thanks everybody.  It's oak ply and the reason I cut the waste area from around it first is so that it's lighter and can be moved around easier.

Another Beautiful piece Charlie....Just wondering....I know you use Spiral blades, but in this cross was
there times you used flat ones?  And approx. how long did it take you to cut?
