Another Steve Goode Oval Bowl
« on: August 06, 2013, 07:58:16 pm »
Sooner or later I'll try to come up with my own Bowl designs ( I cant afford the book ) but this is 3/4 washboard wood ( Thats what it said at lows) Finished it with Lemon Oil. I did this one at 15 Degrees instead of 20 and it didnt need but a little bit of sanding afterwards.

Looks good my local library has books on woodworking, and scroll sawing, and also has a couple books on making bowls might give you some ideas to make your own or pratice to get the hang of it.

Looked through my library for them and also checked to see if it can get them from any of other libraries with no luck.

What library system to have ours here is the pioneer and we can put a hold on others from other librarys in another town on the pioneer library system. Have you checked book stores? They make have some, I bought one pattern scroll book but they didn't have others but gave name they could order it, might also check amazon or online book stores might find some good deals on books that way, there are also book exchange sites to swap books.

I have the book and have had the same issue with the angle.  Thanks for the advice.

You did a great job.

You are really going to town with all your projects.  You know, soon you'll be able to sell your projects if you want and then you'll be able to buy the book!

I am not sure what washboard wood is either.  It looks a lot like pine to me though.
