This section has been slow lately so I thought I'd post another Intarsia that I've made.

That is really beautiful!  What did you use to color the wood?  Awesome work!

Hey 92, That is gorgeous! Did you create the pattern yourself?

Nice job, I like it. I don't even know if I have a family crest. Thanks for posting your work.  8)

There's a place in Solvang, CA.called "The Historical Research Center" and I had them do a search for our family name. This is the Crest they came up with and I made the pattern from it.

I used Cedar, Poplar, Aspen, and Purple Heart woods and painted the Blue and Yellow with acrylic paints.

Hey 92, I know Solvang very well! My wife and I have visited many times and my work takes me there often. I've learned to stay away from those Danish bakery's! ::)

We try to stop there on our way to Morro Bay and Cayucos at least once a year.

Love the Danish Bakeries!!

That is a great job!  Love the crest they came up with.  Wonder if there is one for my Swedish roots?  Probably an oak tree.

Most important part first: love those pasteries; second, that is truly nicely done - thanks for sharing.
