Williamette Clock
« on: July 21, 2013, 11:32:17 pm »
This is the Williamette clock from The Art Factory.  It took about a month and a half - most in the building phase because I find that to be the hardest part and spend a long time thinking about how to do the steps.  It will be a birthday gift for my father in about a month.  And it inspired me to get a new sander though I hope the reasons why are not too obvious.

Very Pretty!!!  You new sander will make it all easier - but you did an amazing job without it.

Excellent workmanship Becky.  I am sure that your father is going to treasure that.  I always admire folks that do a lot of fret work as I do not have the patience to start and stop all the time.  I have a couple of ongoing fretwork pieces that have been in the ongoing category now for at least 2 years. hehe .. they are slowly getting done.  Anyway I digress, Becky that is a wonderful piece, thank you for sharing this with us.

The big thing that is obvious about this piece is that you have really great talent!

Can you tell us a bit about the wood and the finishing?

Thanks,

Jay
