First showing of work
« on: July 07, 2013, 05:04:54 pm »
Well as I have just joined thought that I would put up three of my efforts.

Angel is 3 1/2" tall by 2 1/4" wide and cut from1/8" ply.
I cut this one to give me some practice at turning corners.

Name Train made for two of the great grand children made from beech and mahogany each one stands  about 2 1.2" tall( forgot to measure before i gave them) no finish so they could paint as they want

The last are the letters for some money boxes I made the boxes are 4" tall by 4 1/2" wide and 2" deep made from the scrap box but the letters are 1/4" thick beech.

Any comments so that I can stop any mistakes early.

the train names are slick. Do the wheels turn? You could link them with some neodymium magnets to pull like a train.

Very cool. I like the money boxes. If you do shows, you could make some blank ones and have the letters available to glue on as needed.

Those are all great. How do you get the money OUT of the boxes??

Thank you all for the nice comments.

The Angel is not my pattern I am sorry but can not remember where I got it from, it was another scrollers work that I liked(I wish I had taken the name of the original artist)

The money boxes was an order for someone that saw my original boxes I made before Christmas. On the subject of getting the money out hopefully the picture below will show you.

I did think about having plain boxes with a pile of letters maybe in the future.

The train wheels do not turn as this is just made for display, that is also the reason they are not linked together.

Hopefully I have answered all the questions
