I would like to wish all my American friends a very Happy 4th July. and if anyone is drinking that lovely Southern Comfort don't forget to save me one or two (bottles that is lol)

Let's  remember...   tomorrow is  INDEPENDANCE  DAY.   Like most folks, I've gotten in the habit of refering to it as  'July 4th'.

I had an old Aunt who specialized in a Southern Comfort and Sweet Vermouth Manhattan. She used to say you get 2 shots for the one with 2 words in its name, and one shot of the other stuff.

At her wake she had two tables set next to her coffin - one had a slot machine and the other was a make-your-own Manhattan set up. It's hard to give up a good aunt.

Hi Ray, have a great Independence Day with the family. That is a lovely little story about your old Aunt. She sounds like she was quite a character. The story has given me an idea for when my time comes.  ;) ;) ;).
