There's an Indian uprising!
« on: July 01, 2013, 05:19:45 pm »
Being on the backburner for about a year ( no joke) I finally found the motivation to cut this ole Indian. The border is what makes this project so darn difficult to sit there for EVER! Well thanks for looking.

Very nice Dustin, You have a whole lot more patience than I do. I made a fret pattern of one of the boat Intarsias I made and then about half way thru cutting it I gave up and tossed it. I'll stick to Intarsia, too many holes and too many times threading the blade. LOL

Thanks, like I said, it was sitting around for a year haha. The border alone took me about 3 hours total to cut it. Then the Indian itself was pretty quick.

Nice work Justin. I like the border. Did you use a flat or a spiral blade?

So which did you do first I border or the Indian?  Because if you had done the Indian first you may have found that you didn't need to do the border. LOL  Either way great effort and patience.

I did the border first thinking that getting all that done then doing the indian would make it easier. Also at the time I made the size of wood for this, I didn't plan for a frame. Luckily I just had to trim off a little bit to fit it in a 8x10.
